1 Samuel 3:8-10 “8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child. 9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.”

At the age of 16, Bishop Dan Willis heard the first of several calls upon his life to become a Pastor. First called to shepherd a congregation of 16 until they could get a “REAL” Pastor. Bishop Dan took up the mantle, questioning at times, whether it TRULY was the LORD or his Mother, that was doing the calling.

Several years later, now married, with three daughters and a son, Pastor Dan answered, “Speak LORD”. It was at this point he knew without a doubt, it was the LORD’s calling upon his life. After having pursued a career in the Medical Field, Pastor Dan submitted to God’s Will and let HIM make him a Physician of Spiritual Hearts. Taking on a full-time role in Ministry, Pastor Dan became the Senior Pastor of the Lighthouse Church.

Now, 45 years later, Dan Willis has elevated to bishop. The church was nurtured from 16 members looking for a “temp”, to the largest multi-cultural church on the South Side of Chicago, with over 5,000 members. Bishop Dan’s driving force has always been that of PEACEMAKER. Over the past 45 years he has striven to unite people(s) from every nation and background; regardless of age, gender, or race. Though a lover of all things music, Bishop Dan’s GREATEST passion lies with the Land of Israel. Pastor Dan has been blessed to travel and lead tour groups there on many occasions. Bishop Dan was blessed with the opportunity to film a “Docu-series” titled, “Journey Through the Holy Land”. This series follows Bishop Dan step by step around Israel, bringing the Bible to life. “Journey Through the Holy Land” is now being released on Blu-ray and DVD.5
